Mommy's trick to console baby Tom when he is fussy - for some unknown reasons, newborns tend to sleep well at daytime but wake up frequently at night. Tom is no exception. However, when Tom was born, Alex did not realize it because Tom behaved very well. During the first a few days, the only things Tom did was to eat and sleep. He rarely cried and he slept very well at night. The new parents did panic when Tom pooped for the first and cried out loud when he was hungry, but everything was almost under control, especially with Tom's grandparents' great help.

Alex thought the first a few days of a baby's life must be the toughest. So when he found out Tom was a good boy, he was quite relieved. A big mistake. The hard time had not yet yet come. When babies grow, the troubles that they can make also grow.

I've just received some pictures from Jennifer who took them on the full-moon festival family celebration, just hours before Tom was born. Check out how big Jessie's belly was - and that was Tom!

On the weekends following Tom's coming back home (is it really "back home" since he had never been there before? well, he WAS home evern before he was born, right? so anyways, he was back home), his little buddies, one by one, came to say hi.

Kyle (Kyle's homepage ) was the first, but he was too little to know what was going on. Even worse, Tom hardly opened his eyes when his dear friend was here. After a few tries to communicate with Tom, Kyle fell into sleep too. What a great first renderzvous by these two future good friends!

Vera (Vera's blog ) just came back from China. Woah, Vera is so pretty. Check out her gallery (Gallery ). As always, Tom hardly opened his eye, even in front of the little princess. Vera, on the contrary, was very kind to Tom. She first touched Tom's face with her soft fingers and right before she left, she gave our little Tom a WARM kiss! Nice girl.

Nick is a little older than both Kyle and Vera, and he certainly knows how to take care of the little one. When all of the adults were at dinner, Nick sat right next to Tom's bouncer and took very good care of him (yes, very good care, Nick did not ever move his eyes away from the little one's face. Good job!
